I had a great time remixing Scomber; he truly is a terrific songwriter.

While I was prepared to go deep into the archive (Scomber has 582 pages of content that he has shared at ccMixter!), I landed on Black to the Night early in my research of his catalog. The existential longing of the lyric resonated.

The song itself was a journey; starting out as a tribal EDM track. This is where it ended up.
