A Soldier's Tale
Syenta
Taken from the poem “Troopers” by Curtis D. Bennett about his experiences in a war zone. The amended version is on Tagora’s page however if you want to read the original then pay a visit to www.warpoetry.co.uk, the poem is located here: http://www.warpoetry.co.uk/...
The music is called “Fall of a King” taken from the album “Echoes from the past”, which you can find here: http://www.jamendo.com/en/a...
I am a firm believer in our “Armed Forces” and as such feel we should support them as much as we can. When I say “our” Armed Forces I mean that which defends our country. For me this is the UK, for you it might be Germany, France, Holland, USA, etc. Why should we be supporting them? Well, it is the politicians in these lands who order them into battle, therefore they have no choice.
So no this is not a political statement but rather a note of support for “our” troops. Might I also add that if you are feeling rather benevolent after reading this you might want to show your support by donating to one of the Veteran’s support agencies. For me this is Mr James Dinsdale at: http://www.british-veterans... James was seriously injured in the defence of his country but despite this he is selflessly paying out of his own pocket for the upkeep of the British Veteran’s web site and provides information to other veterans. You might wish to do likewise through an agency in your country.
