My rendition of Calendargirl’s ‘August’ vocals. I synthesized some extra backing vocals from the originals using very simple harmonic scales, luckily their very de-human nature is mostly masked out in the full mix.

As for the mixing, well, I’m not quite sure if this is a bit too bass-heavy (no subwoofer to test it on atm) but I just couldn’t resist leaving it as-is. It should be reggae you know ;).. Some of the tracks are bounced through a Roland RE-501 spring reverb / tape echo, but all the delay feedback loops are still done using Bionic Delay (www.interruptor.ch) since I didn’t have a mixer/console with sweepable EQs at hand.

If there’s anyone here on ccmixter with skills to contribute some saxophone or horns to this track, why not drop me some mail. Would be cool to get them more “humanized” as well, maybe even have some solos ;)
