Then Let Us Say Goodbye
Ivan Chew
Not quite a full remix. The main idea was to add a vocal set to Admiral Bob’s piano sample. This track is missing a chorus and break, and deliberately so. Perhaps someone might want to add their magic. Dry stems are uploaded as a zip file.
The lyrics were adapted from a Public Domain work over at Archive.org (see “ Song Stories for the Kindergarten” (1896) by Mildred J. Hill; pages 22, 21, 20 in that order).
All the busy work is done
Things are in their places
Now the children homeward run
With happy hearts and faces
Then let us to each other say,
Goodbye, Goodbye
Good morning little children
The sun beams shining say
Wake dear little children
And greet us all today
The eyelids close
in sweet repose
when comes the close of day
Till starlight fades away
Then let us say,
Goodbye, Goodbye
